Committee User Role Type
New Save to Draft Feature
We have created a new user role type for committee members that lets them help out around the community, with access to certain features, limited access to others, and no access to sensitive data. You can see a table addressing the differences between roles here:

As the buck ultimately stops with the board, it is important to enforce certain restrictions on people who have not been elected or hired by the community, while still being grateful for anyone who is willing to help out. As part of this, committee users can Create and Write an official Notice, but they do not have the ability to send. Instead they can Save Draft, and a board member or manager then can review it, approve it, and send it out.
Board Members and Managers Can Review and Send
This will ensure that all notices have management involved before an official communique gets sent out community-wide.
Sent notices have a record of every user they get sent to and also a history of changes:
List of Contributors and (not pictured) User Delivery Report
Committee members still have the ability to post events and updates to the newsfeed, since those are less "official" communications, and a social chair is often a committee member.
These changes allow for a board to protect official channels while still having the ability to get help running a complex, dynamic community from everyone they can.
Just one more way that HeyNeighbor makes running your community easier and better than ever!
Thanks for being a great neighbor! -The HeyNeighbor Team
